Governments and Policymakers
Governments, policymakers and financial regulators have a vital role to play in driving progress toward an Earth-positive economy.
The Paris Agreement, the Global Biodiversity Framework, and the G20 Leaders’ Declarations all demonstrate government ambition – but now is the time for implementation.
CDP shapes and deploys the world’s most comprehensive and valuable environmental disclosure database, offering governments and regulators the actionable data and insights needed to inform policymaking and drive meaningful action.
Only with ambitious, data-driven policy can we create a world where people, planet and profit are truly balanced.

Government Partnerships
CDP surfaces robust and comparable data from global industry that is essential for government and regulatory efforts to track and monitor the progress of their economy against national and international commitments, ensuring market readiness and competitiveness in their jurisdictions. This is the data that will power the transition, ensuring that together, we build a sustainable future that drives economic growth, innovation, and job creation. By collaborating with CDP, policymakers and financial regulators can harness the power of data to drive environmental transparency and action from corporates and sub-national jurisdictions (cities, states & regions).

A knowledge partner to the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group (SFWG), contributing to sustainable finance reports as well as the Leaders' Declaration under the India (2023), Brazil (2024) and South Africa (2025) presidencies.
An active participant in the implementation and monitoring of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and the incoming Global Plastics Treaty negotiations (INC).
